and "Do Good " Award Recipients

In honor and celebration of Bennett Kotok, Class of 2023, the Bennett Kotok Endowed Scholarship with the BK Do Good Fund, ensures that the legacy of a model Cadet, leader, friend, and faithful servant not only lives on, but continues to grow each year through others.

Bennett loved being a Cadet. As the youngest of three boys, he deeply valued the brotherhood and traditions of Saint Thomas Academy and embraced every opportunity to lead, encourage, and support those around him. Known for his joyful and competitive spirit,  Bennett consistently sought to help younger students through both his words and his actions — offering encouragement, friendship, and acts of service that left a lasting impact.

That spirit of mentorship continues today through this scholarship and through all those inspired by his example.

Bennett was dedicated to excellence in the classroom, on the field as a Cadet athlete, and in the way he lived his faith in leadership and service to others. This scholarship seeks to recognize and inspire students to live with that same joy, purpose, discipline, and motivation.

Each year, an incoming freshman and a rising junior will be selected for their character, leadership potential, and commitment to personal growth. Recipients will be encouraged to fully embrace their educational opportunities and strive to be their very best academically, athletically, and spiritually — while continuing Bennett’s legacy to “Do Good” in their school, family, and broader communities.

Thank you to the countless donors who continue to support the BK Do Good Fund in Bennett's name.

This award, our program’s highest individual team award, is named in honor of our beloved Co-Head Delegate, Bennett Kotok. Bennett, who followed his brothers Jack and Simon as proud STA delegates, personified all the best core qualities of our team, demonstrating excellence in public speaking, committee leadership, and outstanding character. But none of these descriptions come close to what he truly gave to our team. He not only helped re-establish our team legacy and culture after the Pandemic, but, along with his fellow Co-Head Delegate, Sam Fulton, established a new tradition–the walk and talk speech practice–that has been practiced by every subsequent delegation. It is a moving monument to the true power and influence of authentic passion and motivation. In the words of one of Bennett’s youth baseball coaches, “Bennett gave the room life.” His coach’s words capture what made Bennett truly special.  He proved that passion is contagious, and he was a rare and true “force multiplier” who made any space he was in better, elevating the room with the sheer force of his spirit, loyalty and devotion.

Anyone earning this award is someone who best exemplifies Bennett’s sustained and undaunted spirit of service, fidelity and commitment to giving the room and the team life. While there were several outstanding seniors this year, one senior stood out. Voted by his peers last Spring to serve as a Head Delegate this year, he is a five-time Conference attendee, a Global Affairs alum, a winner of the Outstanding Delegate at BosMUN and a Best Delegate at MUNUC. He not only earned these accolades of excellence, but, more than any other team member, helped inspire and elevate this team to its greatest year ever.
